He could have accomplished much of his agenda - bringing Canada closer in, getting Mexico to address cartels, making the EU wake up, etc - with some diplomacy and charm. But instead he increased the cost of all of these goals.
Your measured words are far too kind at best. Trump is all performance theater, and anyone who has watched him over the decades knows this. He's not a businessman, he played one on TV. He's not a real estate developer, he licenses his name to other developers. He's not a President, he plays one on TV. His words, not his actions, scared immigrants at the border. His words, few of which are supported by action, has started then stopped then started the tariffs. He doesn't know why he wants to implement tariffs, or he would have trotted someone out (maybe an economist?) to explain to the American public what his grand strategy is. He has never been a business 'manager' and on his best day, he'd never know a process or a strategy if it hit his golf cart. The only thing Gzero or anyone else can say, is: hold on to your hats, and let's hope that he's so stupid and erratic that all this show comes to nothing much at all.
If I was giving Trump a grade, it would be an "F". Trump is destroying the fabric of America for his own self-interests. Being a New Englander, we know a con-artist when we see one.
My concern is how to do we stop him from the destruction to the greatest country on Earth? His decisions not only affect the United States but the whole world!
I believe he would sell is soul to build a Trump hotel, etc in Russia.(just my opinion) My question is: what is in it for him to side with Putin and not our allies?
If anyone wants to know the real Trump, suggested reading: "The Loser" by Russ Buether and Susanne Craig.

The Kremlin’s hybrid warfare strategy in 2025: goals & countermeasures. Donald Trump told his biographer Michael D’Antonio, “When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different.” From his business record and actions as President we see what he was like as a child and how he has learned nothing since, neither as a moral human being or as a leader. That so many Americans admire him is very disappointing. I only hope that the courts rein him in (counting on commitments to rule of law and our institutions from Roberts and Coney Barrett) until the mid-terms remove his Congressional majority. Ukraine is now in the hands of the EU who must make a difficult trade-off by using seized Russian assets to stop Putin and negotiate a durable peace.
No way to run a country especially the greatest country the world has ever seen

The gullible will never see it for what it is.
Reminiscent of Soviet Central Planning. Much central control, not much planning.
📌 "Is Putin preparing for peace?" No!

Let us hope the financial chaos will help to finally open the eyes of the MAGA crowd
